My Ex-Mateys, I bid thee Good Luck!!

After SPM, most of my friends have made their step ahead, and some made a too-far step that I could not see them anymore *sobs*. However, eventhough we shall not meet nor interact with each other, I wish you guys a good luck, with loads of success in whatever, or whichever course or education you will be facing, and strive to be the very best and achieve excellence beyond imagination!

My wishes to Razlan Radzi, a loyal friend since Form 1, always supportive eventhough fights happen occasionally. The robot-brain guy that could memorize things superbly (Sejarah boy) and the Mr. Tough for enduring the hardship of co-curriculum in Penang Free School (faint 3 times during practice in Band and still going through with it for 5 years...). The perfect Student Of The Year for balancing academics and co-curriculum perfectly. I wish you good luck in your studies in the new environment at UTP. Congratulations on your Petronas Scholarship!

Razlan Radzi

My wishes to Lee Siu Ming, the combination of a good samaritan and a good classmate. Always giving a helping hand, especially on school stuff. Though at times sarcasm may enter, it never failed to humor us. The mastermind of the Historical Society, but sadly, have left the club. However, you made a mark on the society, by launching a website on the society, and maintaining the society well, making it super productive. As a president, you never failed to help the members of the society and gave them the highest marks at the most possible way. Also possessing the ability to speak and debate in Malay Language. Not to mention, poetry. I, myself fell terrible for the delay of change in Stream, causing you to miss lessons for more than a month. However, I am indeed happy that you finally made a step to fulfill your dreams and study A-levels on Arts in Disted. I may miss the times when we were classmates, but I must respect your decision and I will pray for success on your education.
Lee Siu Ming

My wishes to Janice Ooi, the smiley in my class, always having a bright smile, cheering up the class. One of the classmate in the pair that makes the greatest sound effects in class (the other person, well known la, loud...). I am glad that you are in a good environment that suits you most for your studies right now. Eventhough we were only classmates for approximately 3 weeks, you were a good friend and a good classmate, cheering the class up. A funny person in a good way, in my opinion. The positive optimistic girl. I wish you good luck in your studies in Disted. *AHEM* sameclasswithsiumingforallsubjecthuh*AHEM* . Haha, just kidding.
Janice Ooi

My wishes to Erwyn Ooi, the good boy. Another well balanced guy in academics and co-curriculum. Never failed to laugh at least once when having a conversation with you. The apple of everyone's eye. Very optimistic as well. There are times I wish I could have at least one tenth of your intelligence, enough for me to excel in SPM. Seriously, I had no idea how you could survive Board of Prefects and still manage to be one of the top students in PFS. Incredible, is all I could say. Wish you good luck in your matriculation.

Erwyn Ooi

My wishes to Kenny Goh, one of my best friends ever since primary school. Supportive as always, even until now. A committed guy in anything he does, especially towards BSS. A very good friend indeed, no doubt. Cares about his friends and willing to help as much as possible. A fun guy to hang out with, and especially good in helping us booking tickets to movie theatres, haha. Wish you good luck in INTI college, and congratulations in finding a relationship partner, haha! Introduce her to me and the gang sometime yea?
Kenny Goh.
I wanna put the pic of you and your girl, but I still don't know who she is yet, so better not :P

My wishes to Suraaj Sethi and Oh Jey Shenn, both a great friend during my Form 4 and 5 days. Suraaj, a joke lover, that makes everyone laugh, especially with the combo of Suraaj and Gahjen. Very committed and helpful towards classmates, helped me in the science subjects. Oh Jey Shenn, the silent boy. Though silent, you were one of the most helpful friend I have ever had. Willing to give a hand in most of the things needed help for. A generous guy as well. Good luck to both of you in INTI. I cant find pictures of you guys, so I couldn't upload them, sorry...!

My wishes to Ch'ng Guo Wei and Hazrul Alif, another two great friends. Hazrul, the chicken lover. VERY VERY VERY funny guy and I never regret having you as a friend. Sometimes when I am down I think about your jokes and it made my day! Guo Wei, literally, having the same personality as Hazrul. Same interest, same personality, same characteristic. Glad to be your friend, dude! Wish you both good luck in your studies. Though, Guo Wei, please tell me where you are, Hazrul is going to Melaka, and I don't have any new about you since you left Form 6!

Also, my wishes to all my other friends that left the school to proceed with what they will be doing. Lim Wil Sern, my 'boss' for a year. Unpredictable guy. Sometimes helpful, sometimes irritating. I still dispite your sarcasm though, but you were really helpful at times when I need help. Good luck in Disted. Ng Sin Hui, funny guy,but sometimes you might have gone too far. Very good in academic and co-curriculum as well, good luck for your A-levels and congratulations on your JPA scholarship to India. Teoh Chuin Jim, a curious boy, very helpful and also good making funny voices which makes me laugh, though sometimes I don't get your jokes. Congrats on your JPA to Russia and good luck in your studies. Sanjay, though only my classmate for a year, very helpful guy and funny too. Good luck in UNITEN. Sean Toh, funny joke guy, but sometimes, a little dirty. Very helpful as well, especially in BSS. Good luck in SEGi college.

Too many of you are leaving, making this hometown a little too silent. Those times when we were schoolmates was the most memorable times of my life. However, I must not complain. Therefore, I wish you guys once again, good luck in everything, and ADIOS!!!

Mahindarama Father's Day Celebration

The Mahindarama Buddhist Temple celebrated Father's Day yesterday, which is one day earlier than the original date (don't ask me why, I am clueless myself). It was organized by the Mahindarama Buddhist Temple volunteers and the Buddhist Students' Society members. On that day, foods were served, 188 balloons are to be released, and there would be drawing competitions for childrens.

First things first, setting up of tables, amplifiers, etc etc. We received the food early, so we have to arrange them on tables and cover them up with plastic so that bugs won't 'infect' them. Then, that volunteers said that the tables were not sufficient, and we have to proceed to the temple to get more. Luckily, the 'balloon gang' who were hired to fill up around 200 balloons with helium, drove a van big enough to fit about 4 or 5 tables with a few stack of chairs. Jason and I were to go to the temple to collect them. Afterwards, Jason and I again, were stationed at the Lucky Draw table to give our door gifts and hand out papers to participate in the lucky draw. Jason was then, replaced by Lye Jin Peng, the only girl attended this function from Buddhist Students' Society.

About 10 minutes before 7, people started rolling in, one by one, little by little. The crowd can still be managed with ease. But as soon as the clock strikes 7, crowds came pouring in, flooding the place. Many demanded more paper for lucky draws, some only wanted door gifts so they could leave the place early, and some just walked near the stage. Then, its chanting time. Its for the new Buddha statue placed on a small but beautifully arranged garden. The chanting were pretty much the same as what we use to chant during club meetings, but I could only recall one tenth of the full version, so most of the time I was lip syncing.

The stage, and everyone gathering around it.

After an hour, the crowd started to move to the stage, getting ready for the next event.
The crowd started accumulating near the stage.

According to the volunteers, there were supposed to be 188 balloons to be released on that day, but everyone just lost count, whoever does, I would like to know the exact amount. Those who made donations were given a balloon to be released near the stage. It was pretty exciting, suprisingly, for something so simple (perhaps it was the crowd).

Balloons released!!
Chuah Chong Ken and Lye Jin Peng's 'lovely' twosome balloon...

After the balloons were released, the kids get to present their speech about their father ion the stage. I was still incharge of the lucky draws for the late comers, but I could hear a part of a speech by a small, primary boy, who shocked me. Suprisingly, his English was magnificient! His vocabulary was at Secondary School level. Some of the words he used really suprised me! I wonder if he did that alone...

After the speeches, dancing time!! Not for the public or the volunteers of course... There was a group of dancers named Metropolitan, performing some dance I don't really know (looked like Aerobics to me). From what the Master of Ceremony said, they were a group of lion dancers. That I would really like to see.
Metropolitans rocking the floor!

Then, dinner will be served. Before that, I was tired and I decided to just go home. After dinner, there were supposed to be a public karaoke, which I am obviously, not interested at all. I could actually have stayed longer if I remembered about the drawing contest. They were going to announce the winner on stage, and I would like to see the masterpiece... Oh well, I was tired anyways, brain cells were dying... Thats all about it. Buh Bye!

Co-curriculum schmocurriculum

Today was an extremely tiring day, having to stay at school until 6.30 PM and not having enough sleep the day before, WHAT was I thinking? The new timetable for every class will commerce today, so most of the subject periods got reshuffled, and to me, today is the worst. The day will start of with 2 Physics period taught by Ms. Choong Lai Yong, which is good! However, next is a period of Math, and followed by 2 periods of Chemistry. After recess, ANOTHER 2 periods of Physics, taught by Mr. Ooi Hooi Seng, which luckily, is on a talk somewhere else not in school... I would die of fatigue having him teaching me that time... To end the day is 2 more periods of Math.

The hard part of today actually isn't the academic part in the morning, but the co-curriculum activities during the afternoon and evening... Because of the action of the "Grand Old Lady'', sports and games are now compulsory. I have no other choice but to join Chess Club since it is the only game that could fit into my schedule (wanna join badminton, but its on tuesday). She said its to help our Education Minister accomplish his mission of having students active in sports. Bah! Just plain nonsense, having us suffer is more like it... How is she to maintain the 'active-ness' of those who enter sport and games club? Useless action!

After school, I went to Lye-Lye Food Court near Terengganu Road with Sau Fei and Siu Ming. Its pretty much an empty food court in the afternoon, with only Wantan Mee, Indian Economy Food and Chicken Rice store open. Still, I like it there because of the cleanliness (not that bad actually, compared to other coffee shops...).Pretty clean huh, compared to other places with dirt and moss...
Sau Fei and Siu Ming having conversation after meal.

After meal, we went back to Free School and attended the Chess Club games, played one round and walked off. Went to the Interact Club meeting, but when I was there, only the committees were there... The meeting ended a few minutes ago... Ah well, off to library instead. The Thursday probationers were on duty and they get to do wrapping, which is what I didn't do on Monday, so I get to observe them and I think I can pretty much handly wrapping already, haha.

After all of that, relax time, though not that long. Just some chit-chat with friends and some jokes to relax from the stressful day.
Linges posing with his 'YEAH' sign.

After that, the horror begins, house practice time... I never enjoyed a single house practice since I was in Form 1, and it was in one of my cons when I was decided whether to go to college or to go to Form 6... Today Pinhorn did 100 meter run, same with Cheeseman. I didn't do well in the run of course ( since when I can run?). Maybe things MIGHT change next week, on long jump...

Well, thats all for today, I am getting a little tired posting this post, considering today is such a tiring day... Wish I have a bathtub or something to relax in, beds don't work pretty well for me. Buh Bye for now.

Bye bye holidays....

In a blink of an eye, 2 weeks have passed, and all is left is the schooling days in Penang Free School... Bah, doesn't really matter to me, since holiday or not, no difference, just don't have to go to school and can wake up late, nothing new... Excited about school re-opening? Nah...

The first thing that will start in school tomorrow is assembly, which is one of the most frustrating part for me... Not only we have to stand approximately 50 minutes, we have to listen to the boring speeches that the headmaster and the Grand Old Lady, which literally, everyone have heard of since they keep announcing it on the PA system. Next, we will suffer from one lesson of Physics, taught by Mr. Ooi (I don't mind Ms Choong, but why him...) and 3 lessons of Chemistry (teacher is not good at all in this sub). Not only that, the school will end at 2.40 for our class and there is a possible that I may have to stay back until 4 for librarian duties, if they are not canceled as told to the non-probationary librarians.

Before the holidays, the teacher gave us some homeworks for us to complete, which I did only 3/4 of the total... Chemistry homework was ok, but some parts, the teacher didn't even teach us yet... And for math, my teacher went BEYOND what we were suppose to learn. I manage to only complete half of the total questions given. The rest was either further math question or something out of syllabus...

Monday would be a horror, considering that all the thing I am afraid would happen on that day... I wish the holidays could be longer, so I don't have to face the school, the headmaster, the super-long assembly (with no seating by the way) and the super long speeches. Hopefully Monday ain't that bad and I could endure the bad things happening on that day...
