Mini Outing with the Big-big PFS Family, Plus One Guy...

Went out on Saturday with the big PFS 6RB Family, consist of Yours Truly (me, the son), Eu Teong ('Da Ge'), Sau Fei ('Ee Ee'), Shin Ye ('Ah Bu'), Ann Gie ('Dai Sou'), and Daarmesh. We went to Queensbay Mall and watched Harry Porter, And The Half-Blood Prince. Too bad Kerry ('Yi Sou') couldn't make it, and Chuan Way just missed a golden opportunity to form a life time relationship...

Got a wake up call (literally meant, wake up call) by Eu Teong at 8 AM. We waited until 11.30AM to go have lunch before we proceed to Queensbay. While waiting for 3 hours, we did our MUET essay, chat with Sau Fei, and watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. At 11.30AM, Sau Fei arrived and we went to Heng Ee for lunch. Nothing much there, and the food is horrible... Met Alvin Choong, former Upper 6 and BSS member in PFS. Small world it is, chatted for a while and resumed our lunch. After that, proceed to Queensbay Mall. The traffic was HORRIBLE! The line was so long I had to go to the end of it because I made the wrong turn... Heng Ee High School have co-curricular activities every Saturday, so...

Anyways, we reached Queensbay at 1.30PM or so. went looking for Daarmesh, Shin Ye and Ann Gie. Of all places, why Food Court...? Terrible food with overprice stuffs. It was still early at that moment, so we decided to go CYC arcade for a while. Played 2 rounds of Daytona with Sau Fei and Daarmesh. Got last placing the 1st round and 1st placing the 2nd round. WOHOO! Then, Ann Gie and Shin Ye played House Of the Dead 2 while the boys watched... Shin Ye's face was scary when she played that game... Eu Teong and I decided to play that table hockey..., or something like that (round handles knocking on round target, shooting it to the goal). Intense match it was, and the result? DRAW!

Went for a walk as there was still some time. The boys decided to go to Borders and read some book while the girls... I dunno, window shopping? They disappeared before I get to know where they are going. Borders was boring... not much books available, and the main label for the books are all wrong... At 2.35PM, off to the movies!

Harry Porter, And the Half Blood Prince. Some parts were funny, but overall, quite dissapointing... not as much exciting as the 1st movie or so..., too many cut-out scenes, some parts are hard to understand, and the story was shorter than I expected. Came out, and decided to take some picture. I would have taken A LOT more picture if the ladies were not covering their faces or avoiding the camera when I had it on for picture session.

From left, Daarmesh (only legs shown), Ann Gie, Shin Ye, and me. Eu Teong=paparazzi.

Went to some gift and craft shops to look for some cuties (items, not chicks). Mighty expensive they were, and only for decorative purposes, not much functions. Well, met Shin Ye's toy though, SHIN CHAN!! Haha... Afterwards, Shin Ye had to go to the airport to pick up a friend, so Ann Gie followed her. Daarmesh decided to tag along with the boys.

Its almost dinner time, so we went to KFC for dinner. I'm trying to save as much as I could, so I only ordered the Colonel Chicken Rice. Its the cheapest there. Some band or concert or dance or something was going on outside of KFC, so we get some free 'sound effects' during our dinner. Eu Teong and Sau Fei decided to watch the show as there were hot chicks on stage...
Me, credits to photographer, Daarmesh.
Eu Teong, looking so innocent with the phone...
Sau Fei, making cute faces while drinking Cola...

After dinner, we walked our way to the car park, thinking we have nothing else to do. later, we decided to take a walk as we were so stuffed. Walked to the shore and relaxed a moment. A few pictures taken.
The shore...
From left, Eu Teong (what is he doing?), Sau Fei and Daarmesh.
Dunno what kept me amused...
Didn't know this pic was taken...
From left, me, Sau Fei and Daarmesh.
Not in the mood for photo session...Now I am!
Looks like I'm the only one who knows the camera is rolling...
The 'tak tau malu' couple.
Hmmm, which spot is good?
Goodbye, Cruel World...
You jump I jump! You die I die! But I don't wanna die, so... PLEASE NOOOOOO!!!!

The sky was getting darker, so we decided to head home. Gotta send Daarmesh, living in Sungai Nibong (or Dua, I forgot), Eu Teong, living in Tanjung Tokong, and Sau Fei, living in Paya Terubong... Its like sending my friends who live in the North, South, and East, while I live in the West. Stopped by at Eu Teong's home though, and had a cup of water. Man, the way he play with his baby nephew, if i were the baby, I would develop Eu-Teongophobia...Anyways, left after 30 minutes to drop Sau Fei, and went home. Reached at 9PM...

Thats all about it... I would have a lot more pics before and after the movie starts if Ann Gie and Shin Ye would AT LEAST look at the camera... Well, Monthly Test 2 is coming up, so right now, gotta hit a lot of book, so Buh Bye then!

19th National Maha Sanghika Dana Year 2009

For the 19th time, the Maha Sanghika Dana event is held, and this year, it is in Moral Uplifting Society. A lot of people turned up, suprisingly. Woke up at 5 am sharp, took a bath, and its still early. Therefore, I decided to go to McDonalds for breakfast, since I got bored with home food.

McDonald in Greenlane

Had breakfast, and it was still early. Drove to school and reached at 5.45am. Not a single soul present (human, yes, soul..... maybe.....). Waited in the car for a few minutes to see if any of my friends have reached. 15 minutes, later, incoming Kenny Goh on a Saga. Went out of the car and have a little chat there. Too bad he didn't bring his partner there, or things will be interesting. Minutes later, people started pouring in. Got to chat with a lot of people before entering the bus to the destination.

It took us 10~15 minute bus ride to Moral Uplifting Society, since the bus was SLOOOOOOOW... Met with Eu Teong, Shin Ye and Shaun Lim upon reaching. The event will not start yet for quite sometime, so we relax with free food and waited for QUITE a while...
Got bored, so Desper became paparazzi for a moment...

Soon, we all got inside for a group photo. 4 struggling test shots and finally we got a good one. Then, Ms. Yeoh gave a brief and summarized explanation on the activities and duties we are suppose to participate in.
Ms. Yeoh giving her briefing.

Strolled and wandered for a moment around the main hall, getting to know the place better. Took some pics which were in bad quality because practically, zoom have no good focus.
Lord Buddha.
Settings for monks' feast.

After that, its attendance time!! I use to be incharge of this, but not anymore, and hopefully, will never be. It is not an easy job, not to mention the things I have been through holding you-know-what and dealing with 2 you-khow-whos.
Taking attendance. Good job Jason!

Afterwards, we were stationed into groups, and I fall into group A2, with the rest of my friends. I have to be incharge of 2 things, scooping the rice for the monks in the beginning, and refilling the fruit juices in the middle. After all briefing was done, there were a couple of hours left before we ACTUALLY get involved, so we sat, relaxed and took pictures.
My friends Camwhoring...
Fantastic 4...
Randy Lim and me...

Then, luck striked John Wong Ying Jian. One of the daily chinese newspaper came to us and chose to interview Wong. His picture will also be featured in the newpaper as helper of the Maha Sanghika Dana. We tried to ask for a group photo for the newspaper, but they only need individual ones...

Soon, the monks arrived. The song played when they arrive was fantastic! I'd buy the album for it. All of them have their own sitting positions so no mixing up or anything.
Monks settled down on their seats.

Later, the guests and donors were called up to the stage to open the ceremony. More then 20 were called and even Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan was there!
There, the famous guy...
The full guest...

Soon, our duties have arrived. I had to scoop rices, which is the hard part for me. The reverants never signal whether the rice is enough or not. I keep scooping and scooping and no signal was given! I just estimated the amount and went to the next one. After the scooping was done, the refilling part arrived. Piece of cake, I'd say, compared to the previous task. Not all wanted refill and most of them are still having their feast. Barely refill more than 5 monks.

After all is done, The monks were done with the food, its the requisite time. We get to offer requisites to 2 monks. I was incharge of 2 nuns, which was not suppose to happen. Therefore, someone was kind enough to left me offer the requisites to their monks incharged of. There are a lot of chanting in between all events, I'll just skip all of them. No photos taken, hands were busy with the food and drinks.

Then, the ceremony has ended and the day is over..... NOT! We are not called helpier for no reason... We had to clean up the tables and cloths as they will be reused the next year. Good thing though, we get free lunch. After that, Kenny, Sau Fei and I decided to follow Shin Ye to PFS, instead of riding the turtle-speed bus back there. So, Shin Ye a.k.a. Wira Drift was on action! I drove home to rest a while, but later, I was paid a visit by Randy, Sau Fein Shin Ye and Kenny. We decided to go Sunshine Farlim to help Randy pick up an outfit for his prom night, hoping he would be crowned Prom King!

And that, is that, the end of the journey on the 5th July 2009. I'm exhausted right now, typing and uploading so many images. So this is where it will all end. Sayonara!!Picture taken at 5.05am...

P.S., Oh yeah, Happy Birthday to Ooi Chee Beng! Have a good 18th birthday!
