Previous Wednesday, the 6RD classmates decided to held a BBQ in N-Park, or basically Gary Phuah's house. It starts at 5, but due to tuition, Gahjen and I were late. We reached at 8.15p.m. When we reached, There were no parking slots available! We were not sure we could park inside, so I parked near a car wash... When we walked to the apartment, and called Linges because we weren't sure where to go. Linges and Shyamala called us in from the gate, and Gahjen insulted Shyamala by saying he thought there was a little girl calling us... Linges laughed all his way to the BBQ pit...
When we reached there, we saw fried food laying on the shelter, and the girls were sitting down. The guys, however, were in the BBQ pit. I wondered, what was so excited over there? When I went there, the fire wasn't even lit... They spent hours, from 5 till 8 to light the fire, and those who came early were hungry... damn luckily I was late... I couldn't help with anything with the fire, so I went to feast myself with the fried food and the pasta that were prepared earlier in front of them... MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Well, of course, they took turns to eat and lit the fire. About an hour later, the fire lit! So we started putting on aluminium foils, butter and I, know nothing about BBQ, just help them with the cocktails and sausages...
At Gary's house, the breeze was damn strong, and cooling! And when I looked back, I didn't realise there were so many people that attended the BBQ! Perhaps its because of the sudden change in environment, from a huge, spacious place to an apartment. Enjoyed the breeze for a while, and went to the kitchen to see what is the fuss all about. Over there, Charlene was deep-frying the chicken, while Geraldine was roasting them in the oven, and Natalie was doing the washing. I got bored doing nothing, so I decided to help. Charlene was fine by herself, Natalie don't want any help, so I just helped Geraldine with the roasting.
I gotta say, Charlene deep-fried 4 boxes of chicken, while I could only roast 1 box of chicken. Then, Erwin went out to help Thina downstairs. It was Erwin's birthday, so Thina and Charlene chipped in to buy Erwin a Tiramisu cake. Its small, but expensive... Could only fit a candle in it. Everything was as planned. Erwin was out, so we quickly prepared the cake. When he entered, we sang the Happy Birthday song. He looked suprised, which was the most precious facial expression towards the whole day...
As I was going home, I found a pendrive which was long lost... I was in my seat ALL ALONG... Dropped Gahjen at his house, and went straight back home... I was still hungry, considering I ate nothing much that time...
Thats all about it, was quite an experience, but not a very good one... and OH!
Signed off,
Teng Aun.
